About

Meg Gorvine is a native of Wellesley, Massachusetts. She earned a degree in linguistics from the University of New Hampshire, and began her career following her love of language by teaching English as a Second Language for several years. She was the Assistant Editor for the first hardcover ESL textbook published in the United States in the mid-90s. Later she became an editor at a small publishing house, Fisher Books in Tucson, Arizona. There she edited titles such as How Can I Help?, Comfort & Care in a Final Illness, and Baby & Toddler Sleep Program, among others. She returned to Charlottesville, Virginia, where she was the Managing Editor for a self-published book, Feng Shui: Back to Balance, by Sally Fretwell, which was eventually picked up by a publishing house.

Meg worked for Communications Industry Researchers, a telecommunications industry analyst firm, for three years in Charlottesville. As Marketing Manager, she championed the rebranding of the company, managed the website, as well as the production of other marketing collateral for trade shows, client presentations and other sales efforts.

In 2004, she started her own graphic and web design company, Unveiled by Design, which specializes in the boutique experience of one-stop shopping for design work. She draws on her wide range of skills from her publishing, marketing and teaching experience to create designs that look great and make sense too.
